Why do you have to take out health insurance in Germany?

 

Health insurance is mandatory by law in Germany.

 

So that you do not have to pay the doctor and hospital costs, as well as other therapies and medications, these are paid directly by the health insurance company.

 

You pay a certain amount towards health insurance with your salary, as does your employer.

 

As soon as you have signed a training or employment contract, you must register with a health insurance company.

 

You also need health insurance for your appointment at the embassy.
